Why have I thought you to be me and I you? I am goodness. I am light; you, a mass of dark energy that dares me to maintain my separate peace. I see you there but will remain as I am, apart from what you would have me become – spinning, lost to myself in confusion.
I will hold you, aware of your presence in me. I hold the knowing ‘til the fear that bids you be dissipates and multiplying particles of pain release all resistance to what is, letting go into the comfort of the ardent light, where I am determined to reside.
I feel this one deep--I know I'm not alone, someone understands what I'm going through, for I live with chronic pain. You've captured the eternal struggle of learning to cope and overcome, despite it brilliantly. Thank you--you've penned this straight into my library and heart.
This is brilliant. It seems strange sometimes to comment on the outpouring of a person's heart. The writing is beautiful but the place from where it comes can be filled with pain.
The power of one's inner light that no inner darkness of another, strong in its hold as it may be, must indeed ever be allowed to smother. Marvelous resolve in this excellent poem, Dawn.
