Monolithic,
dominant, ever emerging,
strong beat of your organ heart becomes

a multi-toned battle cry
tumbling through eons
rumbling in our hearts

after you’ve gone
to stir thoughts,
to call forth a dormant love.

Scared and scattered,
recessive, fading, falling back,
weak beat of my winged dreams becomes

a swallow sound, lost
as my voice again,
hidden in whirlwind

before you’ve come
to still fears,
to command the untamed storm.
