Life and sky descend,
tangerine with hint of neon green,
hurling chunks
of frozen hate.

A spitting wind lashes out,
stealing hard-earned tranquility,
squelching hope,
that tender seedling.

Fate reverses itself
as again I am swept up
into time's fierce rotation
and deposited

as scattered debris,
put in my place.

Ooops... me on a bad-hair-day. This sets my teeth on edge and gets that poker-hot sensation of fire and sweat stealing up my spine, but it is damn good writing. Like the raw edginess of it, Dawn. You certainly put IT in its place! You go, Girl!! :)) LOL Kate xx
