As a coursing stream ‘neath frozen surface, your mem’ry is resurrected within – an ever-awakening song of spring from inside icy silence that binds me, trapping you and all things beautiful in an interior design that outshines the brittle, broken branches that comprise my decaying, exterior façade.
Thirsty, in search of life and nourishment, I collapse into green arms of fair youth and wander in the cool shade of lost love. I run fingers over smooth stones, skipping through those yesterdays we walked together. Inside me, I find such blossoms – bouquet of joy and long table of forgiveness where we feed each other morsels of hope.
