Through time I trembled,
shrieking through the flames,
remembering again how you left me —
You, who lived within my heart
raised whole armies against me,
turning them one by one
against me.
I lost full my mind,
but my heart she held,
reaching through time’s fire to find me
and raise me up to new life.
I fly blind but she watches
through night into daybreak,
stands for me.
