Ezekiel's wheel turns in June's deep sky
and so much time has passed now between us.
We approach the midpoint of another turning year,
well into the journey of our great return.
A summer sun shines, resplendent from within,
and I wonder at the revelation, long to see.
I remember still where we came from.
I remember still where we have been.
There are so many stories that cannot be contained
I release them now and surrender to night,
share this little light, feel full this ocean love,
and rest in knowing there is no more to do, just be.
I remember what we came here for.
I remember where we've yet to go.
Still without you, I fly blind but now, at last, I see
the stillness in the storm I am has remained.
So tonight I light a candle, blow it out;
in the flame, in the breath, in this day, am free.
This tired heart, an open book unread,
glows bright for you beneath a desert moon.
Lovely penned.
