We have felt the hot winds
through so many desert wanderings
and known the perennial thirst for love.
We have walked in circles searching for
some small measure of peace
and the living waters.
Now, in the break of the worlds
that is merely a coming together again
we are cowering, bracing for inclement weather,
but the glow of love has never been so bright.
Look with new eyes and behold the storm
that heaven held for us.
I certainly haven't been one to have "many desert wanderings" and hope that I never do, but your poem has an outlet from the parched remains of lost love in the rain.
Beautifully rendered and wonderful to read.
