I have been the one in need of healing like the bleeding woman.
I have been judged, accused and labeled as the unrepentant whore.
I have raged as the crazed demoniac, thought to be inhuman.
I am these things no more.
I have been the one they called wasteful for a love extravagant.
I have been mocked and nearly stoned for speaking up as an equal
I have been beaten down for rising up above, unbroken, bent.
There will be a sequel.
I have been the one cast without care upon stormy waters.
I have stood alone in shock, weeping outside of an empty tomb.
I have wandered the desert in endless search of distant daughters
I rest where lilies bloom.
I have been the one resurfacing, holding my breath through all time.
I have been flying blind, sailing contented through infinite space.
I have been silenced, wild tune squelched in favor of familiar rhyme,
Erased without a trace.
