You shiver, bracing
against the north wind,
howling inside
and weary
of the world
as I too have been.
I would be a sanctuary,
light and warm, filled
with holy song and
the forgiveness of all wrongs
known and unknown,
reaching only for the love
we have put aside
too long for
so many reasons.
Meet me in the silence.
By candlelight, speak to me
of what is true and know
I will not abandon you
and require nothing.
I will bear witness,
allowing you to make
your way to love
for self and soul.
I know you must carry
these burdens, yet
you need not walk alone.
I will walk with you
through your winter
and I would bid you
look for spring
and find me
deep in your green heart.
Dear readers, this is my third book of poems, and inside are a special collection of what have turned out to be not only MY personal favorites, but also the favorites of many of YOU. Some of these have never been available in print before...
