I who love life am killing things today,
proclaiming death to all the dreams
that never came to be, to all 

The lies that tainted me and kept me
from my heart's desires, to all the days
I lost subjected to the stupor

Of the dulling drugs and false beliefs
of others telling me I was anything
less that whole and wondrous, not

Belonging to the One who they never
believed had always lived here within 
my heart, splintered though it was. 

I put an end to all the poisoned
promises and petty sucker-punch days
and silence reverberating so loud

And from all directions that it might
make the ringing in your ears seem
a trifle. I who love life am killing things.

I allow only one thing to survive the fire
of God's wrath and God consents yet
again to grant me my request,

Breathing through me full a holy Love
that will not be consumed by fire, fraud
or feigned forgetfulness.
