I know what it was like 
to be overlooked
undervalued
on the hook
for everybody's bad day
but otherwise in the way.

I don't want to put time
in a bottle. I want
to uncork it
and run free
like the littler children
we never got to be.

You and me, waking up
every day, smiling
at this world
and most of all
dancing our dream, 
improvising, loving it all.

We will set ourselves free
from all the tyranny
we did to our souls
through all the years. 
We will allow the tears and 
we will laugh in the rain.
