I am exhausted by
all the towers crashing
and your clutching to the ruin.

I only want release,
to sleep for a thousand years.

I can only assume this
is the great dismantling of
all you keep putting together again. 

My body aches for you,
for me. I do not know if I will survive.

This depression you feel
is running through me, seeking
to pull me under. I will not go so easily.

I will find my center again
and trust God to help you do the same.
