You are not your monkeys
nor do you belong to their tribe.
Just because you're at their party
does not mean you must imbibe.
And here's a bit of wisdom
perhaps you have not conidered here.
Their big tent world is not your home.
Their mirage is not your fear.
Your monkeys have no valid input.
They have no business with you
or where you go or who you see
or why you're here or what you do.
Those monkeys are not yours to tame.
Let them learn what they must learn.
You don't belong in their small circus,
their perpetually boring win-lose game.
This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses
the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given
day.
