I see it now, how projection is your protection,
how illusion is the delusion that holds
the acknowledgement of the pain
of your reality at bay, how pretense
is your sole requirement
for making some sense
that lets you stay.
But I also see today
how your whole heart screams
for release from the prison of that prism
you have trapped yourself inside,
thinking you could hide
in false facet and make the world
as you wanted it to be—
and not see me.
