In the world that is most home to me
there is no such thing as impurity.
The sky is an ocean of calm.
The seas are clean.
All colors shine
translucent
washed with love
in a radiant light.
You think it perhaps to be boring.
But in fact every day is mystery
for we live there within
the seed of creation
and become it
again and again
in a million varieties
springing forth
from beauty.
Love spills out faithfully from all
who reside within this sphere
and still, each new giving
and receiving is a fresh
experience of what it is
to live—ever a surprise
and a welcoming
of today's remembering.
Some day, my love, I will meet you there
and show you what it is you can
no more believe than you can
conceive that such a thing
is possible. But it is and
you will revel in the realization
that it has been there all along
waiting within you for its
rediscovery.
But make no mistake. There is a place.
There, it will not be possible to cling
so stubbornly to all the dead things
and you would not dream of
using your breath in such a way
or allow a single moment, much less
a day, to pass without you fully in it
and wondering with delight
rather than merely wishing
that you may or might.
