gut whatever's left inside if only
to save your pride...

When the Matriarch marks me
through time as flesh of our flesh draw
false boundaries unaware and fairweather
friends fall fast by the wayside

Left and right, I remain weary yet
all the same, perhaps not content,
but neither broken here nor bent, 
swaying gentle yet unwavering,
