of a tick tock truth
counting down the swings
back and forth, back and forth
until the lid's blown off.

It's game on 'cause time's up
and there's no rewind
down on planet earth
where it's fast forward, fall
fast toward Elysian.

First the underbelly—
good society's
dirty money scam
brought forth, sickness spit out:
wretched rank remorse.

See! Life hath no fury
on these storm-tossed seas.
He will calm the storm
when we have eyes to see
him standing on the shore.

What more? How much lower
do we wish to go?
Bobbling to and fro
not wanting to believe
in heaven or in hell.

Who can tell the story's
depth, depravity
disguised as glory?
Divided increments
of time buried beneath.

Rising up from the grave
where they buried her
she calls forth angels
of innocence restored,
heaven's sacred rest.
