So now the tears
and fears, the trap doors
and the falling floors
all feel like so much
water under the bridge.
So much swept away
day by day by day
and what once had life
withers away. Who can say
where the wind blows
Or what the raven knows.
Banished to a tree
still I see and my heart
beats and grieves with yours
at the choice, the suffering,
The way a body is consumed
by a refusal to live true to soul.
To be whole. To be whole. To be
wholly wholly wholly true .
This is my highest wish
For the one who weeps
and the one who sings
and the one who sleeps
and the one who brings
the light of love.
As below, so above the angels
too bend low for you. They
will kiss the forehead of the one
who brought you to the brink
and say thank you and well done.
Lift your eyes! In the skies
see how the rainbow rises
and a new day comes. Listen
for the mourning dove and
the soul's song of joy.
For she too sees from
some other realm and would
bid you peace tonight
and too all things bright
and beautiful, all things
