The peacock and the doe,
hawk and butterfly—these four
have served me well and I will
carry them always in my heart

peacock to remind me of true royalty
and restoration of rightful regency
yet shimmers with questions
being infomed in me

doe from the one from long ago, 
daughter, sister, mother, friend—
thank you and I honor you,
wish you always well

hawk who circles ever in the skies
who flies forward with me now
yet lifts me every higher too
and somehow deeper and through

butterfly for Mama and imprint
of steadfast love she left in me—
may they ever multiply, springing 
into lilies in a field of dreams
