Even the devil
wants nothing to do with those
who say the devil made them
do it as if he
Himself would give them
the time of day. And now, for
some whom I do not have it
in me to NOT hold
In my heart gently,
even God implores me to
let them go, leave them to life’s
tender mercies which
I know well only
come upon full surrender.
I must now let go. Friends and
family, blood of
My blood, heart of my
heart held in His hands. Like a
sparrow in vast sky, I fly
alone wishing for
Some warm nest, safety
in the land that stretches out
beneath me. His eye watches
over me, sees me
Not as someone weak
but strong tower, mighty
in resilience and radiance.
I do not feel it
Even if I know
God has held me whole every
time they shattered me—pieces
restored and one peace
Sustained in spite of
incessant games, their hell-bent
aim to destroy, decimate
in His very name.
