The turtle knows how all the money flows
like a river through Tennessee.
Amidst beauty in a rising fog
it is my hope that all can now see
Light I shined down on, prayers lifted up
in all the fury of the devil's
Deception, barbarous treachery.
I knew it ran through my family
Though little did I know then how deep
that corruption goes or that it was
Directed so directly at me. Once
my people lived in fair Tennessee
And it pains me to see it tainted
as this state of my own. In rivers
Flowing deep and wide there is healing
and hearts so strong and true that may know
Way the river flows, how money goes
From one hand to other to other.
