Translucent they fly from center
of a rainbow-ringed sun. They come
in droves, diving down, swooping by
as if to wave hi, now thousands
of years gone by. I acknowledge
them by heart, to moved deep within
to respond in another way.

Bring now the day of the dawning.
Morning by morning she gathers
strength, but not only her own lost
legacy. No, she summons through
her heart's alignment to earth, sea
and sky and through memory clear
