I have not had a sister
though I always wish I did.
And I am certain there are
times it must be difficult. 

I have been thinking about 
you I used to ask Mama
about all the time. Maybe
she knew what happened to me

And that's why we kept away. 
We lived far from where Daddy
had to be. From there I saw
huge happy family...

So many cousins lucky
to have each other, aunts I 
wish could be closer. And now
I cannot wrap my brain round

Any of it. Six sisters,
each with gift of beauty and
all their children laughing.
I do not see what happened.
