I used to love college football
and had my favorite quarterbacks.
My favorite play? Interception—
you know, the miracle that came
Out of nowhere to stop progress
of team that might steal everything.
Almost always it happened in
a flash, some player adjusting
At the last possible moment
for reasons not even he knew.
And then the clock ran out, time was
up, game over, and victory.
I particularly liked it
when the underdog took the win,
true grit of champions prevailed
and nobody team rose to top.
