Sitting here in a house
that's not a home because
like every other place
I've lived they invaded

Privacy, dignity
they cannot and will not
take from me. Let then their
conspiracies swirl, twirl. 

I will await God's grace.
I will stay, practice peace,
hold on to love for as
long as I can. I stand,

Send back what they direct
my way, though I do pray
that opportunity
to turn be granted them.

I did not sign up for
such experiments meant
to kill what's true and real.
I came for love, to reveal

Heart of humanity
in its complexity
offer simplicity
over complicity.
