We all have things we think
to be unforgivable,
a violation of
sacred trust, life's sanctity.

Such things can sometimes be
the treasured key that unlocks
all else—practiced preying
on innocence within and

Pain that's projected out.
I learned to slow and sit in
stillness, bring love to me
I was frightened to receive.

I wanted to reject
shadow parts, relegate them
to something other than.
But when I became present

To such chaos, I found
still waters run deeper than
I knew. Receiving full
the fullness of relief, I

Was astounded to find
all the sound and fury swirled
in greater force around,
as if my peace issued

Challenge that all others
sought to vanquish it in me.
I surrendered more, fought
to hold on for dear life and

To avoid the knife plunged
into me from every
direction. On occasion,
I fell and failing to 

Overcome energy,
maintain equilibrium,
I lost connection sweet
to knowing self as complete.

In other words, I snapped
under the pressure, weight pressed
down on me or weight I
carried unknowingly.

Inevitably
I returned to sacred space,
sat again in silence
trying to forgive what seemed

Incomprehensible
and inexplicable.
Something broke and I fell
down to even deeper depths,

Seeking some surrender,
salvation through confession
or trying to obtain
some measure of perfection.

But I was shown inverse,
precise opposite design
and pattern of acceptance
joined with true repentance,

That is path and practice
more than destination point.
To choose life and love now
in light of imperfection—

This is redirection
that affords return to life.
This is resurrection
that leads out of pain and strife.
