Hopeful Eyes
Large eyes black as coal smiling at me
The little chocolate hand resting on my palm
So much pain, discomfort and sadness
Yet a smile reaches both corners of the lips
Revealing pearl white teeth
that chattered
with The slightest breeze
Many questions invade my thoughts
Still looking at these eyes
tell me all questions are
Obsolete
For as long as these eyes
and tender hands reaches Out
I’ll be there
to smile back
and take hold of a life
that May not have been!
