Panic Attack When next the panic rises, and you fall Paralyzed Into the pit of desolation Into the place of terror Do not resist – allow yourself to go Surrender to the fear, and you will find That, hideous though it is, It cannot harm you. And when once more you find yourself Crushed between the two great fears: The fear of life, and dread of death When next you find you cannot bear the pain Of being who you are, and crave escape Remember this… Fear conceals what it cannot destroy And so it blinds you to the fact That you (yes, you) are loved for who you are (Yes you, just as you are right now) And nothing you can think, or feel, or do Can change that truth There is a love more great than any fear And it will hold you safe. I dare you to remember this However shakily at first When next your demon calls for you And if you glimpse it through the fear Then you (yes, you) in doing this Will serve a purpose that transcends The things that mortal minds can know.
