Sometimes I am able to stand because of my faith in God. I am still standing because of the grace and help of God. God is my very present help in times of trouble...
STAND He commands me to stand When I wanted to run Stand� He said When the fig tree does not blossom Stand� He said When there�s no fruit on the vine Stand� He said When the fields yield no harvest Stand though my child it�s hard To stand and you want to run So I stood Though it was hard I stood in faithfulness I stood in hope I stood though it pained me to stand I stood when I did not want To do the same things again and again I stood even when I felt shame I stood� though rejected I stood�when engulfed in fear I stood� inspite of my doubts I stood when I felt all alone I stood through my weakness Because He gave me His grace To endure� to persevere� to stand He empowered me He refreshed me He revived me He healed me So I was enabled to stand I did not run away But became an overcomer In standing I became victorious

There is power in 'to stand' - i liked the first part of your poem especially, and like others have said it is an uplifting write - i don't express my idea of God in the way you have, but the sentiments and idea of faith and grace, waiting for a renewed faith and purpose from a place of doubt, standing, still, not running (beepbeep Roadrunner!) is something i can relate to very strongly - enjoyed your poem, thank you - Nicky x
