Dancing To My Own Beat
When my ears capture
a funky Reggae beat
My soul feels complete.
So free from deceit
and in tune with the
Sway of my soul and
my heart's spunky beat!
Reggae music captures
the sweetest positive
message of solidarity
without defeat
It's what I feel in the beat!
Ahhhh...
Ambient melodious
Chimes
and simple rhymes filled
with ocean breezes, watching
Sea gulls soaring to heights
they never knew they could!
Sailing overhead, no dread..
Positive proof of life
Instead,
as they leave droplets
of their presence
As calling cards
'cross beautiful yards...
Just smile!
Let the rhythm of the
Music make you get up
Get up!
I said, "Get up and dance!!!"
Dance to your own beat!
Don't worry 'bout a thing!
Grab a mic and allow yourself
to sing!!
Music,
When it gets deep down
in my soul
I become so bold!
Sounding like Stevie
Singing of pure love and
Symphonies
Create your own symphonies
of spiritual harmonies
and create magnificent
memories!
Grab hold of your
innocent
inner child and dance!
Dean knew when he
sang of love,
Amore, beneath a willow tree..
So sublime!
Be mine!
Pretty petals from pink
Chrysanthemums
Scattered beneath
Feet, prancing and dancing!
An amazing sight to see
an elderly couple
moving and grooving to
hot salsa beats of Santana!
Yes!
Can you feel the music?
Can you?
Can you appreciate the beat?
Get on down and party!!
Let your spirit soar!!!
My wings are taking me
places now,
Oh wow, oh wow!
Avow to sing, and
dance your dance
Allowing good to enter and bad
to pass in the wind!
Then begin again...
Each new day
a new beginning!
New opportunities for
winning!
Enjoy each day with
truth
honesty
sincerity
gratitude and love.

Dancing is wonderful! Does not matter the music...only that we dance. You have written a fabulous verse praising the moves! I enjoy the young words written by you
