I loved it. Nothing taste as good as it used to. A good write.

Coffee, that beverage that in the early forties came from chicory, but it was warm and the winter's war front cold as Devil's heart.
Then the taste from Brasil and Colombia (used a lot of sugar in it)
Came to Norway and the hostess forgot to put sugar in the table and I (a perfectly stranger invited to coffee in a stranger land...)was too embarrased to ask for it.
It was forty years ago, and I have taken my coffee with a few drops of cream but no sugar.
If I rememeber? oh yes! that chicory "java" put warmth in my soul, the next ones were just luxury.

I seem to have the same problem, but I don't know if today's coffee isn't as good as it used to be, or if my taste buds aren't as good as they used to be, from our aging process.

It's either you drink it plain Larry or go back to your sugar and cream from the farm, it is a toss, HEALTH or TASTE. Thank you for sharing.

This sounds like a metaphor for life. Things in life being so sweet and creamy when we were young, and change as we get older. Really enjoyed.
