Something I wrote as a possible illustrated children's book. Picture a very realistic mouse in the beginning, slowly transforming into an illustrative character at the end...morphing from a grownup's mind into the view of a child.
Some people fright
at the sight of mice,
but I think mice
are rather nice.
They have pink feet
and are very neat!
A cute pink nose
sniffs the garden hose.
When it rains,
under toadstools they stay
and the only thing they fright at
is Mr. So and So's mean old cat!

I could see it!! This would be a perfect childrens book. And with each verse you turn the page as the real mouse transform into a playful cartoon! Go for it!

Children love this sort of poetry. And I'm too old not to enjoy it too. Victor
