My Quiet Time

By Kathy Armijo

My Quiet Time is just for me.
A moment of solitude.
Time to meditate.
Time to pray.
Time to watch the clouds as they go by.
Time to reflect.
I do this in my Quiet Time.

My Quiet Time is just for me.
To revel in life.
A time to deal with strife.
To contemplate my navel if I so desire or
To light my internal fire.

My Quiet Time is just for me.
It’s an opportunity to set my heart free,
To dream of what I still can be.
In those quiet moments I can see
What God meant for me to be.

My Quiet Time is just for me.
Sometimes I get so quiet, I fall asleep.
Oh my goodness,
I was really quiet – woops, was I snoring?
I do this in MY Quiet Time.

My Quiet Time is just for me.
Maybe I read a book.
Maybe I watch TV.
It truly doesn’t matter what I do,
This time is just for me.

In my quiet time I am reminded
My Quiet Time is just for me.

Your lovely poem reminds me of my busy pace prior to retirement and how I longed for some peaceful "Quiet Time". Now, I have too much of it. LOL

your quiet time is just for you --- but because he take it others benefit from the kind of person you are. Especially to those of us who have been blessed by this poem.

Psalm 1 - of King David
1Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Sometimes I just enjoy walking the trails of th Erie Canal, or just writing. Most of all I enjoy being with Caroline and the kids in our little boat.

Kathy, isn't it wonderful to have those quiet moments to allow our thoughts to wonder and to write a beautiful poem such as you have. I enjoyed this a lot.

It seems that we have so little of it, we are smart to make the best of it. This is a delightful poem, I can truly relate.
Take care,
Sherry
