You are write about Christmas being far to commercialized, one of my fondest Christmas Memories is when my cousin and I wrote poems for each other as gifts, I will always treasure that gesture that moment

There is no end in sight for the commercialization of Christmas...I cannot allow it to disillusion me for I do remember the true meaning of that day since my childhood and in my heart I keep it holy. The Creator has been truly kind and forgiving as well as merciful and I shall always look beyond the commercialization.

With advertisers starting in August this year, it is never too early to refocus on the true meaning of Christmas and not the commercialism. A lovely, spiritual reminder.

Kathy this is beautiful and so true. it is a shame that most of the children today think of Christmas as a day to see who has the most gifts under the biggest tree. Thank you for shraing.

I also wish to see the Chrismast tree at the town squre and the manger with the Christ child surrounded with all the character
told in the Good Book, Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, the visiting Three Kings and the animals that witnessed that silent night
That's what we are celebrating after all, the birth of Christ,
I miss walking through the streets listening to people greeting each other "Merry Christmas"

They've forgotten the REAL Reason for the Season. The Christ is not celebrated anymore; our god is moneymoneymoney. Went to WalMart today, Christmas decorations EVERYWHERE. And nothing promoting the Birth...it was all Santa Claus and candy canes (and big sales). Shame. But thank God you and I and others know the TRUTH!! The truth shall set us free. Amen and Amen! You have the right way of looking at Christmas and what it really means . . . I couldn't believe it, but they were beginning to promote Christmas this year before Halloween, never mind Thanksgiving . . . Jeez!!!
