I have not been able to read much in the last several days, nor pen reviews.  Between working and going to the hospital there's not a whole lot of time left in the day.  I will try to read and post reviews and poems as time permits, so don't be thinking that I am ignoring you. 

This is just a quick update on Steve's condition.  He had a really, really rough Saturday night.  They gave him a pain medication that caused hallucinations, disorientation and feeling like he was "loosing" it.  I was with him until about 6 am [Sunday].  I'd been up for more than 24 hours, and HAD to get some sleep.  It appears that the effects of the medicine are out of his system, and appears to be doing much better, today. 
 
Now, the big concern is his blood pressure.  They can't seem to get it under control.  It has been as high as 210/113.  They have been able to get the top number down to about 190 and the lower number to about 100-105.  Between his injuries and the blood pressure concern, the doctors still don't know when he'll be discharged.  When he's finally discharged, they're not sure if he'll be coming home or going to a rehab hospital. 

That's about all I know at the moment.  Oh.  Oh, almost forgot to tell you - besides the dislocated collar bones, broken and fractured ribs, badly bruised left lung, and fractured sternum - they have not discovered any other problems.  Thank God!  However, they don't know why he is having numbing on his left arm and hand.  Perhaps, it is because of all the swelling [from the injury] and it may be impinging on the nerve or nerves.  They will have the orthopedic doctor take a look at it tomorrow.  He's still on the sub-acute floor at the hospital, and now have a sitter with him day and night.  This is because he fell this morning, and they don't want to have any complications to his already significant injuries.
