Thirty-three

Thirty-three

That’s how old William would be

If he were still with me

He’s been gone since he was eleven,

The youngest of my three

My b a b y

Some days the loss is insurmountable

Then I remember his illness

And am glad that he’s found wholeness

I cry and laugh when I think of his escapades

Thank God for memories

But, what I wouldn’t give for one of his squeezes

William’s nickname was Sunshine

His wonderful love of life

Softens my sadness and strife

Still, I long for his laughter and

His bright, shining eyes

They brought a beauty more resplendent than the morning skies

I know he’s here with me

In my heart and in my thoughts

For without him, I would be naught

Oh Kathy ther just are no words to ease the pain and suffering you have endured over the years. Having faith and trusting in God's ways will aid in seeing you through, but you carry a heartache akin to no other. I love and admire your strength and wish I could just wrap my arms around you in a hug of love. May God always bless you....

Be always safe,
Karen

"Thank God for memories" This sentences is truly meaningful for many of us who have lost loved ones. The memories are the most precious things we have left--and how wonderful it is to call them up in an instant so we feel close to the one/s we love and lost.
