Possession
I plucked it.
I possessed it
Yet I didn't own it.
I could never own such excellence,
But it lifted me
As though it were mine -
And it was.
The way it pushed its head up
Vibrant on its stem:
Its white hue
Its gorgeous scent
Haunted me.
But it was not for me to have
Wilting as I held it in my hand.
