Generational poem
They died with no purpose They lived with depression A life full of danger- destroyed by obsession We're cradled in fear Diseased by hate Caged in disasters Consumed by fate Life is screaming, "let me be" Death is chanting, "walk with me" We are all crazy Our minds are on edge Our souls are bloody As we lean off the ledge Chained to our destinies Dead on arrival Searching for freedom Bent on survival Our thoughts are unclear Our future deleted Banned from our rights Our protest unheaded They died with no purpose They lived with depresssion A life full of danger- Destroyed by obsession We trusted them They used us Wreaking havoc While riding a bus to hell, yelling "life sucks"!! falling in love--off .... skyscrapers, Terror is drenching from our veins as our hearts Pump hatred vapors We love a God of - darkness of light We live for the day Die for the night We are going nowhere But moving all the time Taking out the trash Scrubbing at the grime Thats what they callus The scum of the earth We've lost all our values No honor no worth Stairing in a mirror of despair looking back On the dead reflection there Crying out, Burning tears Reliving the grief we've felt for years Groping pain tears at Your pride Finding a hole in The secrets we hide They're digging us a grave to the devil's lair seducing your concious misleading your prayers But.... They died with no purpose They lived with depression A life full of danger Destroyed by obsession
