you never really say
what is troubling you
I’d fix it if I could
I see you sad
in melancholy expression
withdrawn and heart guarded
what could I say
what could I do
to take the pain from you
what if I wrapped you snug
in a blanket of love
and took our spirits to outerspace
find an elixir in a silver goblet
made of intentions healing for you
poured from my own heart
bathed you in rivers of
collective medicine from all
the streams of life
dusted you golden
from eons of stardust
ever wished upon a star
returning you safe
back to your body
hoping you feel refreshed
you are still wondrous
and a beautiful image
I wish that you could see it
maybe I should tell you more often
