there are people in the world not everyone knows
for you won’t find them displayed on the evening news
they are behind the scenes of the modern world
practicing the knowledge learned from their world
 

recently in Baghdad, Chief Lookinghorse of the Lakota tribe
participated in conference with spiritual leaders
mentioning symbols occurring in nature, clearly a time of unbalance
and offers now it is time to choose compassion and love over hatred and greed
 

Jose Arguelles, interpreter of the Mayan Calendar
mentions Baghdad is only an hour from Babylon
where modern civilization’s roots had begun, and how interesting
to know the Mayan calendar ends in 2012 – he agrees its time has come
 

across the world in America, Bennie LeBeau a Shoshone Indian
has recurring dreams of a huge medicine wheel encompassing
an area of 20 sacred sites.  helping him are Leon Secatero of the
Canoncito Navajo, Red Eagle from the Cherokee, and Grandfather Martin
of Turquoise Mountain, he too a Navajo.
 

grandfather knows the earth is suffering, and invites all peoples of all the races,
tribes, and religions to envision the intention of harmony, for they believe
times are extreme and it was time to come together as human beings
and displace negative energy affecting people and the world.
 

sacred sites are many places, mountains, forests, waters, deserts
perfectly aligned all over the world, meridian points along earths veins
ley lines of energy that balance our planet and everything that lives upon it
like the soul of the earth’s nervous system, and she seems to be distressed
 

perhaps old traditions or something new age, maybe a combination of both
and perhaps their songs and ceremonies they believe, that they have carried
and preserved over many generations, have a place of respect
diversity of viewpoints keeps the world turning, and I’m glad to know they do.
