I wish I could tie it together
wrap it up in a pretty bow
but perhaps that is too girrrrly
for beauty lies in the soul
what tries so hard to
keep us from being
petals and willows
in sanctuary courtyards
was it the arrogance of the artist
its restricted close ups
and ensemble acting
or our own point of view
then the credits roll by
written and directed
and greedily we fall
because we wanted it all
today I am just a tiny bird
flapping wings and
fluttering heart
feathers in the breeze
I’m not here to
be anything or
lead anyone
just existing in the moments
tomorrows dreams
we hope and pray be
breath taking beautiful
conceived out there
to ripen however they will
the mind may believe
what others may think
yet the heart
feels what they feel
Your naturalness and spontaneity sparkle in this sweet poem...
Peter
we hope and pray be
breath taking beautiful
Wonderful poem, Debby!
