i’ve heard said, in the eyes of god
a soul is perfect
whole and complete
it is mankind that distorts it
a vision while in non thought
a young boy with dark hair and
prominent ears
seeing only the face and neck
i observed as he split
lengthwise into 7 or 8 pieces
these pieces shuffled
altering the image
eyes wider and then closer
an ear in the middle
a nose to the side
endeavoring to assemble its self
like a puzzle continually shifting
