immersed

Poem Artwork

I like baths, I do
immersed in water
weightless
relaxed
 

I like fresh scents
the delicate mingle
of oils and essence
floral and spices
 

I like you, I do
how you swirl
the water
with your tone
 

blending
encapsulating
dust
into spheres
 

bubbles
glistening glycerin
rainbow hues
dispensed

floating
upon my shoulder
then collapsed
invisible
 

leaving a clean
pure scent
of
refreshing

i luv the feel and scent of this poem ...

we watch our past selves swirl down the drain as bubbles of inspiration pop all around us, leaving us feeling renewed ...

Ahhhh I am in my bubble bath frame of mind for sure now and not ashamed to admit it. Though traditionally men are not supposed to like bubble baths give my almond scented water, candles a good book and a glass of wine and disconnect the phone I have arrived in heaven.

Ah, that clean soap smell. I have that theme running throughout my noveL, "fairy!: A Cautionary Tale." Loved your poem.
