the evening walk was gently breezy
a leisurely pace past manicured lawns
and tended flowers of
marigolds and petunias
 

each step I took with focused intent
clearing my thoughts to nothingness
where silence breaths tranquility
and the heart is purposefully balanced
 

a lawn sprinkler sprays onto the sidewalk
and I veer my steps into the street
laying before me shinny and new
two perfect silver dimes
 

picking them up and glowing
at the prosperous symbol revealed
I raised my eyes up to the north sky
catching the site of a brilliant shooting star 
 

upon returning home the sky was night
beautifully bathed in the near full moon
I heard the sound of the local owl
who’s usually down in the canyon
 

yet there he was right next door
perched on the neighbors roof
eloquently calling into the sky
I grinned at this wisdom sign 
 

and knew grace was unfolding
