Went to the park sat on a bench
Escaping the world for a moment

Looked up and wondered
….could i talk to a tree
and the tree replied
become a tree and
I’ll teach you what I know

closing my eyes
it didn’t take long for
the tree and I to blend

It stripped me naked and parted my legs
My feet sunk down in the dirt
Amazing sensation came over me
as my toes became the roots

My waist grew long and was the trunk
My arms stretched into branches
My skin was bark, my hair the leaves
And my face looked up to the sun

The energy of life came from the earth
Through every vein and cell
then up the front it met my face
And headed… for the sun

Returning to me from the sky
traveling back down the back
An endless circle
Of Up and down
I am… a conduit for the light

While I enjoyed being the tree
A squirrel ran up to me
Bringing a gift laid at my feet
A symbol that looked like an E

Not sure what its for
Or why I have it
But Knowing someday
….I will

returning to myself
I’m graced by the moment
Retaining the power
Now I believe… I was that tree
