They don't really exist,
these words


They are only symbols,
placed upon a screen

in possible perspective
they are recognized, deciphered
understood

The reader does the work,
implies interpretation and
sorts for contemplation

The mind opens
as the words become keys
and unlock the knowing


in the absence of symbols
is the phenomenal world
of pure energy

I like your writing. Words are unusual in this sense, they exist as invisibles somewhere. And if they exist only in the mind, where is that?

The mind opens
as the words become keys
and unlock the knowing

... I love this because, as borne out by your final strophe, the energy is all within and just needs a catalyst. No two minds are wired the same and interpretation is all ours. Words are both triggers and symbols that communicate and interact with our psyche... This is the stuff of whole dissertations! Thanks for the stimulus! xx

\Although I concur with the reader aspect of this I truly believe that the words of a poet or writer are often transported emotions sent out to make a connection and as such are more like seeds that the reader can nourish and allow to grow into what they would like them to be....
