lighten up

ranting and raving
obsession possession
stalking and maiming
dropped to my knees
the room becomes blurry
a battalion of the darkness

perfectly imperfect
designed for my journey
programmed to shut down
in dark overload

a flutter, a pain
a gasp for air
my sensitive heart
becomes a blessing

aware of platinum
a luminous being
appears to me in
many forms
this day a piano
white and grand
guiding my hands
each note
each chord
from bass to high octave
sends rivers of light
and tones
into each of my
weakened cells

embraced by peace
loved beyond measure

i feel I could linger
that place forever

a thought of you
rings in like a chime
strange how you
are always in my mind

I awake in my room
a blessing to know
the way you are
the way you feel
baby don't you know
you're an angel
