ramble

meandering stream bubbles over the rocks swirls in pools then damned by blocks etching away where time's worn ruff smoothing the surface echoed reflections what lies below the gentle cool water perhaps sand and silt or a mossy bottom stones of the past and fossil shells prefer to be dormant than tell a tale the brook is clear the past lays sleeping to float face up as the current flows swept by the river and be gone for awhile
