an insight into the misty beyond

enjoying each moment's intricate details
aware of the smells and tastes of the day

who is to say where happiness lives
must it have a timeframe at all
I've heard its just a state of mind
appearing whenever it is chosen
 

sad to think it's often neglected
an unworthy emotion not in style
miserable, and heartache soup of the day
freely dispensed at most charity lines
