I've led a life of corruptions and mistakes
All day, to God I prayed
Prayers to change my ways
Prayers to suppress my rage
Still, my soul was caged
And day by day
All my friends, I started to push away
My world has always been dark and gray
No wonder I couldn't stop my mind's fray
The painful memories, so hard I tried to erase
My life, so much i wanted to shape
But it was too little too late
I just couldn't escape my fate.
I played a dangerous game
Failure easily became my name
Everyone close to me was ashamed
But I have no one to blame
Because my life myself I maimed
Support, I want from them
While my foolish acts are being tamed
I'm now a man of courage
I no longer fall into rage
But, nothing has changed
My soul is still caged.
History of my past started to fade
The hypocrites, I never wanna face
My dreams, I still wanna chase
I'm ready to start with a clean slate
I'm ready to start a new day
I know I still have my place
But, why am I gone without a trace??
You are here, I hear you, you are touching lives with your words. Follow your dreams, never stop. In spite of the past you can become the beautiful one you were created to be. This poem touched my heart.
It's not easy building new life bridges and repairing old ones, changing bad life habits, and starting to live in a higher state of consciousness -- constantly being aware of your new life goals! The first step is in reconizing the weaknesses you want to eliminate -- and the new character traits that you want to incorporate into your being. Congratulations -- your poem shows that you've started on this great goal! The real new you is being born! Good strong poem!

I can understand where you are coming from, my past is suspect also . . . It is all within yourself, you heart I suppose . . . You are not gone without a trace if you but believe in yourslef and apply yourself to your goals . . . Good poetry . . .
